Cosplays are quite common in many countries. In fact, they are taken so seriously that it is even considered a lifestyle by many. Recently, Comic Con was held in Sri Lanka where cosplay is still a new concept. Photo Credits: http://www.mymangamarathon.com

Cosplay is a practice of dressing up as a character from a film, anime or Manga (Japanese comic books). In many countries, cosplays are not just shabbily done jobs, but are taken quite seriously. A lot of attention is given to the dresses, accessories and even the make-up. Photo Credits: Pinterest

Two women in Sri Lanka's Comic Con dressed up as the character of Wonder Woman and posted the picture online. But, as we all know, the internet is full of haters and mean people. The two women, Amaya Suriyapperuma and Seshani Cooray, who dressed up as their favorite character were ridiculed and trolled by people. Photo: Twitter/@darth

The whole point of the film Wonder Woman was to fight gender bias, celebrating individuality and to prove that in a world full of patriarchy, a woman can succeed. Director Patty Jenkins directed the film with absolute perfection proving that the world needs more Wonder Women.

But, in a different world, Amaya and Seshani got trolled for being 'too skinny'. There were memes made against them, claiming they are too 'skinny' to portray the character of Wonder Woman.

But Jenkins was not going to let the trolls get to these ladies.

In a tweet of hers, she praised the ladies lending support to both in front of the world.

Here's what she tweeted: The look so great, strong and beautiful!!! Such amazing work and costumes. @GalGadot https://t.co/RqjbOd8bDb - Patty Jenkins (@PattyJenks) August 29, 2017

Not only this, even the Wonder Woman herself supported the two beautiful ladies and shut the haters up for good.
