The Indian tech brand has a fine track record with commercial tie-ups in cricket. It made its maiden plunge into the game in 2016 by establishing a team for the Indian Premier League - the Gujarat Lions (GL) based in Rajkot City that was a part of the competition for 2016 and 2017.

After joining in with the India-Afghanistan, India-Ireland and India-England series played this year, they are extending their presence. The links are part of a broader initiative by the brand to engage its audience in prominent sports venues and gain closer relationships with consumers through sports.

Speaking on the landmark sponsorship tie-up, Keshav Bansal, Director, Intex Technologies, spoke about the new chapter, and stated how the series is a great place for them to connect with "India’s passionate cricket audience" and build greater visibility of Intex. He further said, "As we continue to expand our presence across consumer electronics and durables, we see meaningful sporting associations such as this as an important part of building a stronger and more contemporary consumer brand.”

Upul Navaratne Bandara, Head of Marketing of Sri Lanka Cricket, said, “We are delighted to welcome Intex Technologies as the National Team Sponsor of Sri Lanka Cricket for this highly anticipated Test series. Intex is a prominent Indian consumer technology brand with a strong connect with consumers across India. We are pleased to have them partner with Sri Lanka Cricket for this series. The association reflects the strong commercial appeal of India–Sri Lanka cricket, and we look forward to a mutually successful partnership and an exciting series of Test cricket.”
